Photograph a business card, paper or on a screen, and the person lands in your phone as a contact, ready to save.

• ✓Nothing scanned here is stored. Close the tab and Herald has nothing left of it.
• ✓A code in the frame is read first, so a digital card held up on a phone comes across exactly, not as a transcription.
• ✓It reads, it does not guess: a smudged digit is reported, never completed, and no email is ever built from a name and a company.
• ✓The one thing it cannot read: conference badges holding only an attendee number. Only the organizer's own scanner resolves those.
